Banchory (pronounced "ban kuh ree", the ch is pronounced like a k), (Scottish Gaelic: "Beannchar", "blessed place"), is a burgh or town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, lying approximately 18 miles west of Aberdeen, near where the Feugh River meets the River Dee.
