Dance Information

Blackland Farm was created in 1992 by Rod Burrows to mark a weekend Scottish country dancing event held that April at the Blackland Farm site.

The location is a residential activity centre run by Girlguiding, situated in the Sussex countryside. It includes a variety of accommodation and facilities, including a hall that is suitable for country dancing.

The Brighton Scottish Country Dancing Club held a number of weekend gatherings at Blackland Farm during the 1990s. These events were well attended and became a regular part of the club's calendar.

The dance named Blackland Farm was devised to commemorate these occasions and remains well known among dancers in the Brighton area.
