Figure 1
1- 8 All set, pulling right shoulder back to face corner
 La Baratte with corners, men facing clockwise and ladies facing anticlockwise. Men: 4123; Ladies: 2341
9-16 Quarter grand chain, two bars per hand. (3)(4)(1)(2)
 All turn partner right hand and face in
17-24 3rd and 1st couples half turn opposite dancer right hand and cast away
 4th and 2nd couples repeat to end. 1234
25-32 Eight hands round to the left and back

1- 8 1st and 3rd couples advance and retire
 Dance half figure of eight through nearest side couples, finishing beside them
9-16 3rd couple with 2nd lady and 4th man, and 1st couple with 2nd man and 4th lady dance half double figure of eight at the top/bottom
 3rd and 1st couples cross between 2nd lady/4th man and 2nd man/4th lady
 3rd and 4th men, and 1st and 2nd men turn right hand
 3rd and 2nd ladies, and 1st and 4th ladies turn left hand
17-24 Repeat bars 9-16 from new positions, men turning left hand, ladies turning right hand
 2nd and 4th couples face in. (3)2(1)4
25-32 1st and 3rd couples half turn partner right hand and face clockwise, ladies behind partner
 1st and 3rd couples, men leading partners, dance left shoulder around other couple
 3rd and 1st couples dance out between 2nd and 4th couples and chase clockwise to original places. 1234
