By The Way A 48 bar reel for 4 couples by Moira Stacey

1-2 1st man and 2nd woman, 3rd man and 4th woman change places giving right hands.
3-4 1st woman and 2nd man, 3rd woman and 4th man change places giving right hands.
5-6 1st man and 4th woman change places giving right hands.
7-8 1st woman and 4th man change places right hands.
9-12 1st and 4th couples half rights and lefts.
13-16 2nd and 1st couples, 4th and 3rd couples half rights and lefts. All are now back in original places.
17-20 1st and 4th couples cross giving right hands and cast one place, 2nd couple step up one place and 3rd couple step down on bars 19-20.
21-24 1st and 4th couples right hands across to finish facing diagonally out, 1st woman facing 2nd man, 1 man facing 2nd woman, 4th woman facing 3rd man, 4th man facing 3rd woman.
25-28 All set and turn ¾, 1st woman and 2nd man, 4th man and 3rd woman giving right hands, 1st man and 2nd woman, 4th woman and 2nd man giving left hands to finish in lines facing up and down.
Top line facing down:  2M, 1W, 1M, 2W
Bottom line facing up: 3M, 4W, 4M, 3W
29-32 All advance and retire.
33-40 1st and 4th couples reel of 4 up and down centre of dance, 1st woman and 4th man giving left shoulders to begin. 2nd couple step down one place and 3rd couple up one place on bars 39-40. All finish in original places.
41-44 1st couple set and cast, 1st woman to 4th place, 2nd 3rd 4th women step up, 1st man casts one place, 2nd man steps up.
45-48 1st man sets to 3rd woman and casts to 4th place, 3rd and 4th men step up.
