Dance Information
"Calanais" is the Scottish Gaelic name for "Callanish".The Callanish Stones, known in Scottish Gaelic as Clachan Chalanais or Tursachan Chalanais, are an arrangement of standing stones on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland.
Positioned in a cruciform pattern with a central stone circle, they were erected during the late Neolithic period and served as a focal point for ritual activities in the Bronze Age. These ancient stones are located near the village of Callanish on the west coast of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.
