Dance Information

Tarland is a village in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and is located 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Aboyne, and 30 miles (50 km) west of Aberdeen.

Tarland is home to the Culsh Earth House, an Iron Age below-ground dwelling known as a Souterrain built around 2,000 years ago. Despite being called a dwelling it was probably not for living in, but served as a stone-lined underground passage used to store food and may have had some ritual significance.
