Scottish Country Dance Instruction

Celtic Braid 5x32 Reel for 5C by Sue McKinnell

1-4 1C cross RH and cast one place WHILE 5C cast one place and cross RH. 2C and 4C step up or down on bars 3 and 4.
5-16 Celtic braid figure:
1C cross down between 3C, cast down behind 4C, cross up between 4C, cast up behind 3C, cross up between 2C, and cast down behind 2C
WHILE
5C cast up behind 3C, cross up between 2C, cast down behind 2C, cross down between 3C, cast down behind 4C, and cross up between 4C.
1C and 5C end in a line up and down the dance, 1M facing down, 1W facing up, 5W facing down, 5M facing up.
17-24 1C and 5C reel of four up and down the dance, ending on own sides in progressed places.
25-32 1C cross RH, change places LH with 3C on the sides (1W and 3M, 1M and 3W), change places RH with 5C on the sides (1W and 5M, 1M and 5W), and cross LH to own sides. End in the order 2, 3, 5, 1, 4.

Repeat 5 times.
