Cloud Nine M3x(S32/R32) Medley 3 couple set Fiona MacDonald Dedicated Dancing, 2005

Strathspey
1 - 8 1s Set, cast to 2nd place (2s step up on 3+4), 1s turn both hands twice, finish facing up in centre
9 - 16 1s dance up, cross, cast behind 2s, dancing down between 3s, 1s turn 3s 1½ times nearer hand (L on Ladies side and R on Men's) finish in 3rd place (opp side) 23(1)
17 - 24 2s, 3s and 1s Grand Chain:
 1s (in 3rd place opposite side) cross Right to start while 2s and 3s change RH on the sides
25 - 32 3s and 1s Diamond Poussette 23(1) (1s finish on opposite sides)

Reel
33 - 40 Next '1s' set, cast to 2nd place (2s step up) 1s turn RH finish facing up in the centre (or birl)
41 - 48 1s lead up, cross, cast behind 2s, dance down between 3s, turn 3s 1½ times with nearer hand (L on Ladies' side and R on Men's) to finish in 3rd place (opp side) 23(1)
49 - 56 2s, 3s and 1s Grand Chain:
 1s (in 3rd place opposite side) cross RH to start while 2s and 3s change RH on the sides
57 - 64 All Circle to left and back (1s finish on opposite sides) 23(1)

As dance progresses, original 1st couple lead in Strathspey, original 2s in Reel and original 3s in Strathspey time, each couple finish on opposite sides after 32 bars as the medley continues each couple leads the dance in the other timing and finally return to their original sides of the set.

This medley, Cloud Nine, was devised for Shirley for whom, even when there's something really big to celebrate, life goes upside-down and back-to-front, eventually all rights itself and we get back into the right order!
