Dance Information
This reel, Dance For Ivy, was written for Ivy Lawson of Leeds RSCDS for her 79th birthday. Ivy started Scottish country dancing at a mere 75 years old. Her time on the dance floor was aided by her love of music, and previous ballroom and ceilidh dancing experience. Ivy's love of life and dancing is celebrated in this dance and in All The Eights (for her 88th birthday) and Nifty Ninety (for her 90th birthday).Back to the top of this Scottish Country Dancing Instructions 'A Dance For Ivy' page
