DEREK'S DILEMMA (J4x32) 4C set Helen Bonar (revised February 2017)2 chords - on 2nd chord 2s and 3s cross to opposite sides
1- 8 1s and 4s cross RH, cast in 1 place and dance ½ Figs of 8 round 2s/3s (2s and 3s step up/down bars 3-4). (2)14(3)
9-16 All dance reels of 4 on sides, Bar 16: 1s and 4s curve in to finish BtoB in centre facing corner persons (4s facing 2s and 1s facing 3s)
17-24 1s+4s dance 'Hello-Goodbye' setting (6 bars) Bars 23-24: 1L+4M petronella turn to opposite sides while 1M+4L set. All now on opposite sides. (2)(1)(4)(3)
25-28 2L+1L and 4M+3M turn LH once round while 2M+1M and 4L+3L turn RH once round (so that centre couples dance out the middle of the ends)
29-32 1s+4s dance RH across ½ way, retain partner's hand while 2s+3s cross RH, 1s+4s cross RH. 2(4)(1)3

This dance was devised by Helen Bonar (now Helen McGinley) for her good friend Derek Elkins, who had a mental block about hello-goodbye setting.Derek assures us that he is now cured.
