Dance Information

This strathspey was devised in honour of the eightieth birthdays in 2003 of John Drewry and Jackie Johnstone (of Dumfries), dancers, teachers and devisers.

Jackie Johnstone taught the general and advanced classes of the RSCDS Carlisle and Borders Branch from its early days (it was formed in 1950).

One of her more well-known pupils was John Drewry, the prolific and respected dance deviser, who achieved his RSCDS Teacher Certificate qualification under Jackie's tuition.
