ELEGANT LADY (S3x32) 3C Set Trish Reid, 20251- 8 1s set, cross RH; 1s cast (2s step up 5-6) and turn LH to face 1st corners
9-16 1s+1st corners dance Corner pass and turn, 1s pass RSh and dance Corner pass and turn with 2nd corners ending in 2nd place own side facing out/down
17-24 1s dance 6 bar reels of 3 on sides (1L+3L pass RSh 1M+3M pass LSh), Bars 23-24; 1s+3s change places (Ladies RH, Men LH). 231
25-28 All dance "Allemande Right":
All advance 2 steps, give RH to partner, Lady turns Right about under Man's arm and dances out to place as Man retires
29-32 All turn partner 2H. 231

Elegant Lady A 32 bar strathspey for three couples in a three couple longwise set
1 - 8 1st couple set, cross giving right hands and cast off one place, 2nd couple stepping up on bars 5 and 6. 1st couple turn with the left hand to face 1st corners.
9 - 16 1st couple dance corners pass and turn with 1st corners, pass partners right shoulder and dance corners pass and turn with 2nd corners, passing partners right shoulder to end in 2nd place on own sides facing out and down. (Corners turn each other both hands).
17 - 24 1st couple dance a 6 bar reel of three on their own sides, 1st woman giving right shoulder to 3rd woman and 1st man giving left shoulder to 3rd man to begin. 1st woman changes places with 3rd woman giving right hand, 1st man changes places with 3rd man giving left hand. Finish in the order 231.
25 - 32 All 3 couples dance allemande right, all 3 couples turn partner with both hands.
Repeat from new positions.

This dance was created by Trish Reid from RSCDS Cheshire Branch to mark a significant birthday celebration for Anne MacDonald.Anne MacDonald stepped down from her position as Chairperson at the Annual General Meeting held on 14 May 2025. She had held the role for eight years, during which time she provided steady leadership and made a lasting contribution to the group.
