Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1-4 First and second couple, fourth and fifth couple, dance half rights and lefts
5-8 Second and fourth couples set and cross over right hand, WHILE first and fifth couples turn with both hands, ladies pulling right shoulder back and men pulling left shoulder back to face second corners
9-10 First and fifth couples turn second corners right hands
11-12 First and fifth couples turn each other ¾ left hand to face first corners
13-14 First and fifth couples turn first corners right hands
15-16 First and fifth couples turn left hands to second and fourth place own sides, first couple stay facing out
17-20 Second, first and third couples dance half a reel of three on the sides, second couple dancing in and down, first couple dancing out and up, third couple dancing in and up to start.
(make the reels curvy as there is lots of music, but don't join hands unless you are helping a beginner)
21-24 Second, fifth and fourth couples dance half a reel of three on the sides, second couple dancing in and down, fifth couple dancing out and up, fourth couple dancing in and up to start
25-32 Third and first couples, fifth and second couples dance an all round poussette
