Strathspey 3 x 40 bars 3 Couple Repeat 3 Couple Set Longwise Set

  1-8   1s2s Strathspey poussette;

  9-11 1s lead down;

12-14 changing to left hands, 1s cross up;

15-16 1s cast, finishing in 2nd place on opposite sides;

17-24 1s reels of three on opposite sides, giving left shoulder to first corners to start and pulling left shoulder back to finish back-to-back facing first corners;

25-30 1s dance ¾ of hello-goodbye setting, finishing facing on the centreline;

31-32 1s petronella turn to 2nd place on own sides;

33-40 1s3s untie the knot:

33-34 1M 3M advance (no hands) and turn partners under the right arm into allemande hold, finishing 1s 3s facing down;

35-37 3s, followed by 1s, allemande in to the centre and up one place to finish on the centre line 3s in 2nd position, 1s in 3rd;

38-38 3s 1s unwind the allemande hold, finishing facing partners;

39-40 releasing hold, 3s 1s face down and dance out to finish 3s in 2nd place, 1s in 3rd.

15-16 2s step up.

33-40 Although untie the knot starts similarly to the knot for 2 couples, it is completely different.
