4-couple dance in a Square Set
STRATHSPEY

  1-8   ½ GRAND CHAIN: all dance a Star Grand Chain halfway round, two steps to each hand;

  9-16 TURN AND ½ GRAND CHAIN BACK: all turn partner with right hand once round (2 bars) and dance a Star Grand Chain halfway back to meet partner ready for 17-20 TURN PARTNER 1½ TIMES to original places;

21-24 HEAD COUPLES WHEEL: 1st and 3rd couples dance right hands across ¾ around, and on Bar 24 give partner nearer hand and pass other head couple by the right shoulder to dance into;

25-32 HAND-IN-HAND OVAL REEL OF 4: all dance Hand-in-Hand Oval Reel of 4 starting by passing right shoulders (1st with 2nd, and 3rd with 4th)(chase around an oval track switching hands with partner at each end of the reel finishing in original places): N.B. there is no left shoulder passing in the middle;

33-64 REPEAT Bars 1-32 with Side Couples active in Bars 21-32.
