Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1-4 1st couple turn once round with both hands
5-8 1st couple, retaining near hands, dance down below the 2nd couple and cast up to original places
9-16 Chain progression:
 1-2 1st and 2nd couples turn ¾ by the right hand, finishing in the center, 1W at the top and 2M at the bottom facing clockwise. 1M and 2W are in the middle, left hands joined
 3-6 1M and 2W turn each other by the left hand 1 ½ times, while their partners dance clockwise, round them, exchanging places, to finish in the middle of the set.
 All end on center line in reverse order (2M,2W,1M,1W)
 7-8 2nd and 1st couples turn partners ¾ by the right, ending on own sides
 (order is now 213)
17-20 All 3 couples set and link once. At the end, 2M and 3W, who pass each other in the middle, continue facing out the ends to flow into the next figure.
21-24 1st couple Turn the person on their own left by the left hand.
 1st couple turn the person on their own right by the right hand.
 (1M at the top of set turns 3W, then 3M)
 (1W at the bottom of the set turns 2M, then 2W)
25-32 All 3 couples set and link
 All set
 All cross by the right hand
 Finish in order 312
