1- 8 1s dance in and cast to 3rd place while 3s lead up and cast into 1st place; 3s+2s+1s set twice
9-16 3s+2s+1s dance DoSiDo; all chase ½ round set to opposite side. (1)(2)(3)
17-24 1s+2s circle 4H ½ round to left while 3s birl (turn RH) to own sides; all advance and retire. 213
25-32 2s+1s+3s circle 6H round and back

1- 4 1st couple dance towards each other and cast to 3rd place while 3rd couple lead up through 1st place and cast into top place
5- 8 3rd, 2nd and 1st couples join hands and set twice
9-12 3rd, 2nd and 1st couples dance back to back
13-16 3rd, 2nd and 1st couples chase half way round the set
17-20 1st and 2nd couples dance four hands round half way while 3rd couple, using elbow grip, birl and finish on own sides
21-24 joining hands, 2nd, 1st and 3rd couples advance and retire
25-32 2nd, 1st and 3rd couples dance 6 hands round and back, finishing ready to begin again

Dance Information

This dance was created by Dr Fred Moyes to commemorate Frank Thomson's receipt of the RSCDS Scroll of Honour.

Frank Thomson, nominated by the Aberdeen Branch, was presented with the scroll by William Williamson at the 95th Annual General Meeting of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society on 2nd November 2024.

The dance was specifically designed to mark this significant achievement, recognising Frank's contributions to the Scottish Country Dancing community.
