Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1- 8 1s+4s set, cast down/up (2s+3s step out and up/down bars 3-4). 1s+4s dance ½ RH across, retain hold with partner, dance up/down to finish between 2s and 3s turn away from partner
9-16 All dance reels of 4 across the dance and at end of reel 1s and 4s pass partner RSh to finish 1s facing up, 4s facing down
17-24 2s+3s set, cast in one place across the set, 1s+4s step out one step on bars 19-20. 2s+3s dance ½ RH across, the two ladies together and two men retain hands and dance out to opposite sides in 2nd and 3rd places, turn away from each other. (All on opposite side.)
25-32 All dance reels of 4 on the side passing RSh at the end. (4)(3)(2)(1)
33-40 All set, cross RH. 3s+2s+1s dance ½ reel of 3 on sides. (1L+2L and 1M+3M pass RSh to begin). 4123
