GLASGOW ASSEMBLY (M-2x(S32+R32)) 4C set Robert M Campbell Glasgow Assembly And Other Scottish Dances

Strathspey
1- 8 1s+2s dance R&L ½ way, 1s dance down middle divide and loop round into 4th place opposite side as 3s and 4s cast up 1 place and dance in to face corners
9-16 All set and turn corners RH, 3s+4s dance LH across to end on own sides. (2)34(1)
17-24 All dance reels of 4 on sides
25-28 2s and 1s petronella turn into middle and end 2L between 3s (facing up) as 1M ends between 4s (facing down) and all set
29-32 2s and 1s petronella turn to own sides and all set. 2341

Reel - with new top couple
1- 8 1s petronella turn and set as 2s cast up, 1s+2s dance RH across with 1s ending between 2s facing opposite sides
9-16 1s+2s dance reel of 4 across and 1s pass RSh to end in middle on opposite sides diagonally facing 3s
17-24 1L+3M turn LH as 1M+3L turn RH and 1s dance round each other LSh to face 4s, 1s repeat bars 17-20 with 4s and end on own sides
25-32 2s+3s also 4s+1s dance Figs of 8 across with 2s and 4s crossing down as 3s and 1s cross up. 2341

Repeat Strathspey and Reel, each time with a new top couple
