Dance Information

Glenfinnan is a village in Lochaber area of the Highlands of Scotland located at the northern end of Loch Shiel.

The Glenfinnan Monument situated at the head of Loch Shiel was erected in 1815 to mark the place where Prince Charles Edward Stuart ("Bonnie Prince Charlie") raised his standard, at the beginning of the 1745 Jacobite Rising.

After Culloden, in his flight to evade government troops, Charles came to the same area again.
