1- 8 2s followed by 1s dance full Fig of 8 round 3s ending 2s in top place, 1s in 2nd place
9-16 1s dance Petronella turn and set (1L between 2s, 1M between 3s). 1s cross RH up/down and cast to 2nd place opposite sides
17-20 1s Allemande Right: 1s advance 2 steps, give RH to partner, Lady turns Right about under Man's arm and dance out to place as Man retires
21-24 1s dance LH across (1L+2s and 1M+3s)
25-28 1s Allemande Left: 1s advance 2 steps, give LH to partner, Lady turn Left about under Man's arm and dance out to place as Man retires
29-32 1s dance RH across (1L+3s and 1M+2s). 1s end on sidelines facing 1st corners
33-40 1s set to 1st corner, turn Right about to face 2nd corner and set. 1s turn ¼ Left about to face partner across dance and 1s turn 1½ RH to 2nd place

Gold In Sydney A 40 Bar Reel For 3 Couples In A 4 Couple Set
1 - 8 Second couple, followed by first couple, dance a figure of eight through third couple to finish with second couple in first place and first couple in second place (as in The Ladies of Dunse RSCDS Book 26)
9 - 12 First couple dance a petronella turn to finish with first woman between second couple facing down and first man between third couple facing up, first couple set.
12 - 16 First couple, giving right hands, cross up and down the set and cast to second places on opposite sides of the dance.
17 - 24 First couple dance an Allemande Right (i.e. First couple advance two steps and giving right hand to partner, first woman turning right about under the arm and dance out to place as the first man retires.), first woman then dances left hands across with second couple while first man dances left hands across with third couple.
25 - 32 First couple dance an Allemande Left (i.e. First couple advance two steps and giving left hand to partner, first woman turning left about under the arm and dance out to place as the first man retires.), first woman then dances right hands across with third couple while first man dances right hands across with second couple. First couple finish facing first corners in the side lines.
33 - 40 First couple set to their first corner, turning right about to face second corner, first couple set to their second corner, turning left about ¼ to face partner across the dance. First couple turn right hand 1½ times to finish in second place on own sides.
Repeat having passed a couple.
