A Guid New Year

3-couple Longways set

  1-8   FIGURE 8: 1st couple dance a figure of 8 on men's side, 1st woman in the lead starts by passing between 2nd and 3rd men: end in lines of 3 across the dance, 1st woman between 3rd couple, 1st man between 2nd couple, all facing down;

  9-16 DOWN MIDDLE AND BACK all dance down the middle, and back up;

17-24 PARALLEL REELS OF 3: all dance a reel of 3 across the dance, starting with 1st man passing 2nd woman, and 1st woman passing 3rd woman, by the right shoulder (6 bars), then 1st couple turn once around with both hands to end facing down AS 3rd couple dance in to join partner with nearer hands facing up;

25-32 RONDEL: 1st and 3rd couple dance the Rondel to change places.

Repeat twice.
