Dance Information

This dance, Insomnia, was devised by Joan Tuffery, former tutor at St Andrews SCD (Invercargill) which was founded in 1957 as part of the Otago/Southland Branch of the New Zealand Scottish Country Dance Society.
Insomnia, also known as sleeplessness, is a sleep disorder in which people have trouble sleeping.

Insomniacs may have difficulty falling asleep, or staying asleep as long as desired.
