Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1- 8 1s+2s dance Chain Progression:
 1- 2 1s and 2s ¾ turn RH
 3- 6 1M+2L turn LH 1½ times while partners chase clockwise ½ way
 7- 8 2s and 1s ¾ turn RH to end on sides in order. 2 1
9-16 1s dance ½ Fig of 8 (1M up round 2L, 1L down round 3M) finishing in 2nd place opposite sides facing 1st corners. 1s turn corner LH 1¼ to end BtoB in centre facing 1st corners
17-20 1s set pulling back RSh, cast round each other to 3rd corner place while 2M+3L set, chase clockwise to next corner and 2L+3M set, dance in, pull back RSh to dance out to same place
21-24 1s set, dance in, pull back RSh to face place just left while 2M+3L set, chase clockwise to next corner and 2L+3M set, pull back RSh and cast round each other to change places
25-32 1s dance ½ diagonal reel of 4 with 1st corner positions, pass RSh in middle, dance ½ diagonal reel of 4 with 2nd corner positions, finishing in centre BtoB facing own side
33-36 2s+3s chase clockwise ½ round while 1s set, pull back RSh and cast round each other to 2nd place opposite sides
37-40 3s+1s+2s set and cross RH to own sides
