Scottish Country Dance Instruction

A JIG FOR JYLLIAN J 8x32 (3C) 4C Set Patrick Carter

1 - 8 1st Couple Set, and giving right hands, cross down behind, and cast round 3rd couple, then, giving right hands, cross up to finish back to back in second place in the middle facing own side, ready to set in double triangles (2nd couple step up on bars 1 - 2).
9 - 16 1st, 2nd and 3rd couples set as in double triangles, then 1st couple set, turning ΒΌ turn to finish back to back in the middle (1st man facing up and 1st woman facing down). 1st couple then dance round their second corners to finish in second place on opposite side.
17 - 24 2nd, 1st and 3rd couples Set and Link twice with 1st couple finishing in second place on own side
25 - 28 1st couple dance round their second corner positions to finish in second place on opposite side, WHILE 3rd and 2nd couples, giving right hands, half turn on the sidelines and cast to other corner position remaining on opposite side
29 - 32 2nd, 1st and 3rd couples, with nearer hands joined, Set, then all three couples giving right hands cross to own side.

Repeat having passed a couple.
