40 bar Jig for 3 couples in a 3 couple longwise set OR 40 bar Jig for 4 couples in a 4 couple longwise set.

1- 8 1st couple set once and turn halfway with both hands, using 2 SKIP CHANGE OF STEPS. Open out to face down, and taking nearer hands, dance down below 3rd couple, separate and cast up into 2nd place to face 1st corners. 2nd couple step up on bars 5-6.
9-16 Set to 1st corners and turn with both hands using SKIP CHANGE OF STEPS. Set to 2nd corners and turn with both hands using SKIP CHANGE OF STEPS. Corners finish facing diagonally in.
17-24 1st couple turn partner halfway with both hands using SKIP CHANGE OF STEPS to finish in the centre facing men's side, nearer hands joined, woman on the right, WHILE corners set once. (2 bars) Then 1st, 2nd and 3rd couples dance mirror reels of three across the dance, 1st man gives left shoulder to 3rd man, 1st woman right shoulder to 2nd man to begin. 1st couple finish in 2 lines of three across the dance, 1st woman between 2nd couple facing down, 1st man between 3rd couple facing up. These are 6 bar reels.
25-32 With hands joined, 2nd, 1st and 3rd couples set twice. 1st couple turn halfway with right hands for 2 bars, then left hand for 2 bars, finish facing the men's side. (woman in front of her partner).
33-40 1st woman followed by her partner casts off below 3rd man and crosses to her own side, her partner finishes 3rd place own side. 3rd couple step up on bars 35-36. All 3 couples, turn by right hand for 4 bars, finish in place, ready to begin again with new top couple.

Dance Notes

If danced in a 4 couple set, 1st couple merely cast to 4th place, and 3rd and 4th couples step up on bars 35-36.
