JOHN SINTON'S STRATHSPEY (S6x48/3x48) 6C set John Drewry Canadian Book4, 5s and 6s start on opposite sides
1- 8 All dance reel of 3 on sides (1M followed by 2M (in and down to start), 3M by 4L and 6L by 5L also 1L by 2L (in and down), 3L by 4M and 6M by 5M
9-16 3s+4s dance ½ reel of 4 across (Men pass LSh to start), 2s and 5s turn 2H 1½ times while 3M and 4L, 4M and 3L turn 2H 1½ times on sides (2s 3s 4s and 5s have changed sides)
17-18 1L and 4L cast down 2 places as partners cross to their places while 3L and 6L cast up 2 places as partners cross to their places
19-24 1s+3s and 4s+6s set facing diagonally and dance ½ RH across while 2s and 5s set on sides, all ½ turn partners RH to end in prom hold (1s and 4s on Men's side facing in, 3s and 6s on Ladies' side facing in, 2s in centre facing up and 5s in centre facing down)
25-32 1s+2s+3s also 4s+5s+6s in prom hold dance reels of 3 across (2s and 3s, 5s and 4s passing RSh to start)
33-40 2s followed by 3s and 1s Allemande down Men's side while 5s followed by 4s and 6s Allemande up Ladies' side to end 546132
41-48 All set, turn partners RH 1½ times and set (bottom 3 couples end on opposite sides)
NB Can be danced 3 times or 6 times through
