Jordanhill is an affluent area of the West End of the city of Glasgow, Scotland. The area was previously part of the Jordanhill Estate centred around Jordanhill House. The site of the house was sold to Jordanhill Teacher Training College and is now the home of the Strathclyde University Faculty Of Education.
For Scottish Country Dancers, Jordanhill College will always be best known as the place where Miss (later Dr) Jean Milligan was a lecturer when she and Mrs Ysobel Stewart set up the (now Royal) Scottish Country Dance Society in 1923.
