Dance Information
A carousel (from the French "carrousel" and Italian "carosello"), or merry-go-round, is an amusement ride featuring a rotating circular platform with seats for riders. The seats are traditionally rows of wooden horses or other animals mounted on posts. Many of these seats move up and down via gearwork to simulate galloping, all to the accompaniment of circus music.
