Jig 8 x 32 bars 2 Couple Repeat 4 Couple Set Longwise Set

  1-8   1ST COUPLES' SOLO: 1st couple set and turn each other with both hands halfway round opening to face down, cross over below 2nd couple and cast up to original place;

  9-16 DIAGONAL TURN AND DANCE HOME: 1st man and 2nd woman turn 1½ times around with right hands, spiral across to own side and cast to original places (1st man passing below 2nd man and casting up AS 2nd woman passes above 1st woman and cast down);

17-24 DIAGONAL TURN AND DANCE HOME: 1st woman and 2nd man turn 1½ times around with left hands, spiral across to own side and cast to original places (1st woman passing below 2nd woman and casting up AS 2nd man passes above 1st man and cast down);

25-32 BOURREL FOR 1ST AND 2ND COUPLES: 1st man and 2nd woman set to each other advancing on bar 26, then turn ¾ round with both hands pivoting right shoulder back to finish back to back with 1st man facing down and 2nd woman facing up
AS 1st woman and 2nd man dance anticlockwise halfway round other dancers to end facing partner in a line along the middle of the set (4 bars);
THEN 1st and 2nd couples set to partner and turn ¾ around with right hand ending in progressed places.

Repeat having passed a couple.

Dance Notes

As with all dances having the format, 2-Couple Repeat in a 4-Couple Set, if dancer numbers so dictate it can be performed in a 3-Couple or 5-Couple Set and with the number of repeats adjusted appropriately.
