1- 8 1L followed by partner casts 1 place, crosses set, casts behind 3M, crosses set to between 3rd and 4th couple own side and 1s set
9-16 1s nearer hands joined dance up to top (3 bars), cast 1 place on own side and turn RH to face 2L (Man's 2nd corner) in promenade hold
17-24 1s dance ½ diagonal reel of 3 (RSh to 2L); ½ diagonal reel of 3 (RSh to 2M)
25-32 1s dance ½ diagonal reel of 3 (RSh to 3M; ½ diagonal reel of 3 (RSh to 3L). 1s end in centre facing up retaining LH
33-40 2s+1s dance LH across; 1s+3s dance RH to end in 2nd place own sides

This jig, The Macraes, was devised by Marjorie Duffield's Pupils to celebrate her marriage to Brian MacRae in 1992.

The Macraes was first danced (titled Marjorie And Brian) at a dance in Strathbrock Church Hall.
