Strathspey
1- 8 All dance ½ Grand Chain, set to partner and turn 2H
9-16 1s+3s circle 4H round to left for 3 bars and turn to right to face sides (BtoB with partner), 1M+3L+2s also 1L+3M+4s dance RH across
17-24 All dance parallel RSh reels of 4 across and end with 1s and 3s (LH to partners) dancing out to original places
25-40 2s and 4s repeat dancing reels of 4 up/down set
41-48 All set to partners, 1s+3s ¾ turn RH to face clockwise in prom hold and dance round to opposite places while 2s and 4s petronella turn, set and return to place
49-56 Repeat with 2s and 4s turning into prom hold
57-64 All set and link with partner travelling on 1 place, repeat back to original places

Reel
1- 8 All set to partner, ¾ turn RH into prom hold and dance ½ way round set
9-16 All dance Double Ladies' Chain
17-24 All set to partner, ¾ turn RH into prom hold and dance ½ way round set back to places
25-32 All dance Double Men's Chain 1s and 3s retaining prom hold facing right
33-40 1s dance RSh Promenade reel with 4M/2L while 3s dance RSh Promenade reel with 4L and 2M
41-48 1M+3L dance Figs of 8 round 2s while 1L+3M dance Fig of 8 round 4s
49-56 4M+2L dance Figs of 8 round 1s while 4L+2M dance Figs of 8 round 3s and end with 2s and 4s in prom hold with partner
57-64 2s dance RSh reel of 3 with 1M and 3L while 4s dance RSh reel of 3 with 1L and 3M and end all turning partners RH

Dance Information

Maidenhead is a historic market town beside the River Thames within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, in Berkshire, England.

It is known for its excellent transport links, including proximity to the M4 motorway and a direct train connection to London Paddington, enhanced by the Elizabeth Line. Maidenhead Bridge, built in 1777, is a key landmark, and the nearby Cliveden House offers stunning riverside views.
