Dance Information
Manley Park is a small, friendly green space located on Clarendon Road in the Whalley Range area of Manchester, with the postcode M16 0AB.The park features a well-equipped children's play area suitable for those aged 12 and under, as well as a multi-use games area for various sports activities. Additionally, visitors can enjoy free Wi-Fi access at the nearby Manley Park Community Centre.
Historically, the area was once home to Manley Hall, a grand Victorian Italianate mansion built in 1857 for businessman Samuel Mendel. The estate included extensive gardens with artificial lakes and numerous greenhouses. Following financial difficulties, the hall was demolished in 1905, and much of the land was developed for housing. Today, Manley Park playing fields are the remaining part of the original estate.
Adjacent to the park is Manley Park Primary School, which emphasizes values such as compassion, responsibility, and respect.
