Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1- 4 2s cross LH, cast to the left into centre (2M at top facing down, 2L at bottom facing up as 1s and 3s step toward one another on the side, 1s face up, 3s face down and join hands with 2s (as Crown Triangles)
5- 8 2s+1s+3s dance ½ Inverted Double Triangles
9-12 2M+1s and 2L+3s dance ½ RSh reels of 3 across (2M RSh to 1L, 2L RSh to 3M), 2s finish in centre BtoB, 2M facing down, 2L facing up. 1s face down, 3s face up and join hands with 2s
13-16 1s+2s+3s dance ½ Inverted Double Triangles
17-20 2L+1s and 2M+3s dance ½ RSh reels of 3 across (2L RSh to 1L, 2M RSh to 3M), finishing in centre, LSh to LSh in 2nd place facing opposite sides
21-28 2L+1s and 2M+3s dance RH across, 2s pass RSh to dance LH across with other couple. 2s end in 2nd place own side facing out
29-32 1s and 2s cast one place as 3s dance up to 1st place and all 3 couples set. 312

9-12 2M with 1s, 2L with 3s dance Half RSH Reels of 3 across the dance to finish in their partner's place back to back, 2M facing down, 2L facing up (2M giving RSH to 1L, 2L giving RSH to 3M) (1s and 3s finish facing down and up on the sidelines taking hands with the 2's as in crown triangles)
13-16 1s, 2s, and 3s dance Half Inverted Double Triangles
17-20 2L with 1s, 2M with 3s dance Half RSH Reels of 3 across the set, finishing LSH to LSH in 2nd place. (2L giving RSH to 1L, 2M giving RSH to 3M)
21-24 RHA, 2L with the 1s, 2M with the 3s, pass RSH to other end
25-28 LHA, 2M with the 1s, 2L with the 3s, finish facing out in 2nd place
29-32 1s and 2s cast one place as 3s dance up to 1st place and all 3 couples set.
