Strathspey 8 x 32 bars 2 Couple Repeat 4 Couple Set Longwise Set

  1-8   CIRCLE AND TURN: 1st and 2nd couples circle to left once round and turn partner 1ΒΌ times round with both hands to end in a line up-and-down the middle;

  9-16 REEL OF 4: 1st and 2nd couple dance a reel of 4;

17-20 SET AND PETRONELLA: 1st and 2nd couple set and petronella to original places;

21-24 SET AND TURN: nearer hands joined on the side, 1st and 2nd couple set, and turn partners once around with right hands ending ready for allemande;

25-32 ALLEMANDE: 1st and 2nd couple dance allemande.

Repeat having passed a couple.

Dance Notes

As with all dances having the format, 2-Couple Repeat in a 4-Couple Set, if dancer numbers so dictate it can be performed in a 3-Couple or 5-Couple Set and with the number of repeats adjusted appropriately.
