THE MÉAUDRE REEL (J8x40) 3C (4C set) Diana Sarran, 20151- 8 1s dance down between 3s (2s step up), turn inwards (pas-de-basque) and face up; 1s turn 3s nearer hands and ½ turn 2s with other hand. 123
9-16 1s+2s+3s dance Inveran reels of 3 on the sides (1s crossing down to start and crossing back to own side) 123
17-24 1s cross RH (2s step up 19-20), cast below 3s, meet and dance up to face 1st corners
25-32 1s+1st corners dance ½ diagonal reel of 4, pass LSh; 1s+2nd corners dance ½ diagonal reel of 4. (3)(1)(2)
33-40 3s+1s+2s set and link for 3 twice. 213

The dance and music were devised and composed for Sophie Marchand and presented to her on 2 May 2015 by Roddy, Seonaid, David and Diana as a token of gratitude for her warm welcome and in recognition of all she has done for Scottish Country Dancing in Méaudre, a small village in the French Alps, with 1357 inhabitants (in 2013)... and 40 SCD dancers!(Dance information from Dancing In Vercors Book 1, reproduced here with the kind permission of the dedicatee, Sophie Marchand)
