Dance Information
The Millennium Bug, also known as the Y2K bug, was a computer glitch that arose at the turn of the millennium which resulted from the practice of using two digits to represent the year in date fields (e.g., "99" for 1999).As the year 2000 approached, there was concern that systems would misinterpret the year "00" as 1900, potentially causing errors in calculations, data processing, and software functionality.
This issue raised fears of widespread failures in critical systems, but extensive preparation and remediation efforts largely prevented major disruptions when the new millennium began.
