Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1- 4 1s and 2s dance four hands across ccw while 3s and 4s dance four hands across cw
5- 8 2s cast up finishing between the 1s passing R Sh to face opposite side (2L facing 1M and 2M facing 1L) while 3s cast down finishing between 4s passing L Sh to face opposite side (3L facing 4M and 3M facing 4L)
9-16 1s and 2s dance right shoulder reel of four while 3s and 4s dance left shoulder reel of four
17-20 All dancers turn the person they are facing (top couples by the right, bottom couples by the left) to finish on their own side 1-2-3-4
21-24 Top two couples turn partners by right finishing in center facing up while bottom two couples turn partners by left finishing in center facing down (bottom couple with lady on man's left) all couples in allemande hold
25-32 Top two couples allemande traveling down the men's side while bottom two couples allemande traveling up the men's side finishing 2-1-4-3 on their own side
33-36 Bottom 3 couples dance ½ reel of 3 on the sides 1st and 4th Ladies pass by the right, 1st and 4th Men pass by the left to start
37-44 Reel of four on the sides Lady's by the left, Men by the right to start
45-48 2s and 3s dance four hands across ccw while 4s and 1s dance four hands across cw
