Scottish Country Dance Instruction
Miss MacIntosh A forty bar Reel for three couples in a longwise set. Devised by John W Mitchell, Published in Whetherly Book 9.1- 4 First and second couples turn partner with the right hand.
5- 8 First and second ladies turn one and a half times with the left hand to change places, first and second men do the same, first lady and second man finish facing out.
9-16 Reels of three on own side of the set, to commence first couple and third couple pass by the right shoulder.
17-24 First and third couples dance right hands across in a wheel and back with the left hand.
25-32 First and second couples dance rights and lefts.
35-40 Six hands round in a circle to the left and back to the right.
Repeat from second place. Recommended tune: Miss MacIntosh
