Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1- 4 1M+2M and 3L+4L (Top 2 Men and bottom 2 Ladies) dance around their partners by the RSh and curve into the centre to face their partner
5- 8 All join nearer hands with the person beside and set. 1M, 2M, 3L and 4L pull back RSh and dance out to places
9-12 1L+2L and 3M+4M (Top 2 Ladies and bottom 2 men) set and link
13-16 1L +3L and 2M+4M (Middle Ladies and men) set and link. Ladies 2314, Men 1423
17-24 Four Couple Bourrel:
 17-20 2L and 3M dance across set and up/down to finish in the centre at the opposite end while all others set advancing to person diagonally to their right, turn each other ¾ 2H. (1M+3L, 4M+1L, 2M+4L)
 All pull back right shoulder (twirl), finish in the centre Ladies facing up, Men facing down, facing original partner.
 21-24 All set to partners and turn ¾ with 2H to finish on own side. 3142
25-32 All circle 8H round and back. Repeat with new top couple.
