Also see the dance My Love She's But A Lassie Yet (RSCDS Book 9) from RSCDS Book 9.This dance shares its title with the My Love She's But A Lassie Yet - Poem, an older Scottish song adapted by Robert Burns in 1789 and sung to the tune Lady Badinscoth's Reel.
The song concerns a young woman whom the speaker considers too young to marry, while other verses describe courtship, dancing and flirtation. The tune predates Burns's words and was already in circulation as a Scottish dance tune.
