The Nairn Promenade - Scottish Country Dancing Instruction VideoDance Information
Nairn is a town and royal burgh in the Highland council area of Scotland.Nairn, an ancient fishing port and market town, is located about 17 miles (27 km) east of Inverness, where the River Nairn flows into the Moray Firth. It serves as the traditional county town of Nairnshire.
Nairn, situated at a middle latitude like the rest of the British Isles, enjoys a maritime climate, or more specifically, a marine west coast climate.
Temperatures are tempered by western sea breezes, which also moderate the winter weather. Although it experiences no dry season, with cool summers and mild winters, Nairn is one of Scotland's driest locations due to the rain shadow effect created by the surrounding mountains.
