Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1- 8 1C and 2C dance the knot.
9-16 2C and 1C dance the bourrel. On the last 2 bars, 1C turn both hands and open out to face out in 1st place while 2C turn both hands and open to face up nearer hands joined.
17-24 2C dance up and cast into 1st place while 1C cast off 1 place, dance a half Fig of 8 up around 2C and turn LH to face 1st corners.
25-28 1C dance a half diagonal reel of 4 with 1st corners passing RS at the end to face 2nd corner positions while 2nd corners chase CW halfway around the set.
29-32 1C dance a half diagonal reel of 4 with 2nd corners passing RS to end in 2nd place on own sides while 1st corners chase CW halfway around the set.

Repeat.
