1- 8 1st couple dance down and back (both hands joined, slip step), end facing out (2nd, 3rd, 4th men stepping up)
 1st man casts to fourth place while 2nd, 3rd, 4th men dance half reel of three on own side (2nd and 3rd men pass right shoulder)
 Meanwhile, all ladies dance half reel of four on own side. 4321
9-16 1st couple dance up and back (both hands joined, slip step), end facing out, (4th, 3rd, 2nd ladies stepping down)
 1st lady casts up to top while 4th, 3rd, and 2nd ladies dance half reel of three on own side (3rd and 2nd ladies pass right shoulder)
 Meanwhile, all men dance half reel of four on own side. 1234
17-24 All turn partner left hand halfway and remain in the centre (keeping left hands joined)
 1st and 2nd couples, and 3rd and 4th couples dance half left hands across. 2143
 2nd and 3rd couples turn right hand while 1st and 4th couples dance half right hands across
 1st couple turn RH halfway into promenade hold (end to face 3rd man) ditto 4th couple (end to face 2nd lady)
25-32 Reels of three across (4th couple and 1st couple start by giving right shoulder)
 4th couple finish in second place centre, 1st couple finish in third place centre (facing out of top/bottom of set)
33-40 4th couple dance up to the top and cast down while 1st couple (1st man giving left hand) dances half figure of eight around 3rd couple. 2413
 2nd and 4th couples, and 1st and 3rd couples dance four hands round to the left and back. 2413
