THE OPEN ROAD (J4x32) 4C set John Brenchley Kangaroo Paw
3s and 4s start on opposite sides. To allow both Men and Ladies to be lead dancers, this standing pattern does not reform until the end of dance

1- 8 1s and 4s set then 1M and 4M cast in 1 place, 1M with 1L+2L and 4M with 3L+4L dance RH across
9-16 1M+4M turn LH and cast left (1M round 2L, 4M round 3L) into prom hold with partners (Lady on right), 1s+2s and 4s+3s dance ½ RSh reels across
17-24 1s down on Ladies' side and 4s up on Men's side dance ½ RSh reel in prom hold, 4s+1s (in middle) dance LH across and end facing corners 3(4)1(2)
25-32 All dance ½ double diagonal reels of 4 (corners dance ½ LH across in middle) as 4s+1s loop back to starting places, 4s+1s circle 4H round to left. 2(4)1(3)
