1- 8 1s+2s set, dance ½ RH across; set and dance ½ LH across
9-16 1s+2s dance the Bourrel
17-24 2s+1s+3s dance RSh reels of 3 on own sides (1L+3L and 1M+2M pass RSh to start)
25-32 1s+3s dance Espagnole. 231

Peter Knight's Strathspey - Chivalric Celebrations Dance devised by Lizzy Conder
32 Bar Strathspey for three couples in a three-couple longwise set

1- 8 1st and 2nd couple set and dance right hands across half way, 2nd and 1st couple set and dance left hands across half way.
9-16 1st and 2nd couple dance a bourrel.
17-24 2nd, 1st and 3rd couple dance reels of three on own side, 1st woman start by passing 3rd woman by right shoulder and 1st man passing 2nd man right shoulder.
25-32 1st and 3rd couples dance an espagnole.
Finish in the order 2,3,1.

Dance Information

This dance, Peter Knight's Strathspey, was devised by Lizzy Conder to celebrate the 80th birthday of Peter Knight, the editor of A Guide to Scottish Country Dancing, formerly known as Collins Pocket Reference.

It was danced for the first time at St Columba's Church, London in January 2019, as a demonstration at Peter's 80th birthday party.
