Peter's Farewell
Scottish Country Dance Instruction
Peter's Farewell (R4x32) 32 bar reel for four couples in a four couple longwise set, Eddy West, 19911- 4 First and second couples set and link finishing with first couple facing up and second couple facing down.
5- 8 Second, first and third couples dance half reels of three on the sides, second and first couples giving right shoulders to begin.
9-12 First and second couples set and link finishing with first couple facing up and second couple facing down.
13-16 Second, first and fourth couples dance half reels of three on the sides, second and first couples giving right shoulders to begin.
17-20 All set taking hands and then third and fourth couples and first and second couples dance half right hands across, ladies finish facing up, men down, all on opposite sides.
21-24 All chase clockwise to own sides in original places.
25-28 All dance half reels of four on the sides.
29-32 Fourth, third and second couples dance half reels of three on the sides, fourth and third couples pass right shoulders to start .
Repeat with new couple leading.

This dance was devised for my son Peter on his temporary relocation to Australia and was originally published in 1992 by the Auckland Region, NZ Branch, RSCDS in "The Kauri Collection".Suggested music: "Bothy Ballads" - Jim MacLeod, or "Rab the Ranter" - Rob Gordon - "Complete Caledonian Ball".
