THE PLATINUM ORB (S4x32) Sq.Set Kenneth J Reid Birmingham Platinum Book

1- 4 All set. Ladies pull back RSh and cast to corner place to their Left while Men dance in and curve to Right to meet 'new' partner (on Left of Lady) all facing diagonally in
5- 8 All repeat 1-4 to end in square 1st: 2M+4L, 2nd: 3M+1L, 3rd: 4M+2L, 4th: 1M+3L with top and bottom couples BtoB with 'new' partner
9-16 Side couples dance in to meet original partners, nearer hands joined with partner dance out to original places and turn 2H 1½ while
Top and bottom couples dance round towards original places to meet partners, nearer hands joined dance into centre and turn inwards to dance back to original places and ½ turn 2H
17-24 All dance Interlocking reels of 4 (pass partner RSh to start). End Ladies facing out, Men facing in
25-32 All dance 4 bars Schiehallion reels to end 1 place round anticlockwise and all turn partner RH (4 bars)

Dance Information

The Birmingham Assay Office, one of the four assay offices in the United Kingdom, is located in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, England.

The new Assay Office, Birmingham, opened 2015, which replaced the Victorian Assay Office on Newhall Street, Birmingham, has many blue-brick orb (platinum) "hallmarks", sculpted into the wall.
