Scottish Country Dance Instruction

1-12 All dance Grand Chain 2 steps and set to next dancer, repeat twice ending in original places
13-16 All turn partners RH
17-40 The Ladies dance The Sheep's Head Hey:
 All Ladies dance up and across the top of the set and weave down the Men's line
 As 1L dances in front of 3rd man, 3L (passing between 2M and 3M) turns up behind 2M to become leader (312) and leads back to top
 3L leads down Men's line weaving and as 2L reaches the gap between 2M and 3M she turns up behind 2M and leads back to top. 213
 2L leads down Men's line weaving and as 1L reaches the gap between 2M and 3M she turns up behind 2M and leads back to top. 123
 Then 1L leads the line down behind Men and back to top on own side
41-48 All circle (slip step) left and back
49-72 Men dance The Sheep's Head Hey (same pattern through Ladies)
73-80 All set advancing and petronella turn to next place anticlockwise, set advancing and petronella turn to next place anticlockwise
81-88 All set and turn to right, all chase to original places and turn partners RH
