The Rain Dancers
Scottish Country Dance Instruction
The Rain Dancers (R8x32) 32 bar Reel for 3 couples in a 4 couple longwise set, Eddy West, 20131- 2 First lady sets, first man and second couple dance one place on clockwise (first man diagonally down, second lady across the set and second man up).
3- 4 First lady dances Spring Points while others set.
5-12 First and second couples dance rights and lefts, men finish facing out.
13-16 Second and first couples dance a half ladies' chain, first man finishes facing out.
17-20 First man casts down round third lady and crosses to third place, own side, first lady follows to own side and casts to third place, third couple step up and face down on bars 19 and 20.
21-24 First and third ladies, and at the same time first and third men, turn one and a half times giving right hands.
25-32 Second, first and third couples dance reels of three on the sides, first couple passing second couple left shoulder to start.
Repeat having passed a couple

This dance was devised for the group of American dancers who brought rain to New Zealand in April 2013.Suggested music: "The Lobster in the Pot" Peter Elmes and his Band "A Whale of a Time".
